Zeffert and Gold Catering

Aaron Gold was wonderful to work with, very flexible, efficient and proffesional, this was reflected on our wedding day. There were no hiccups, the food was served on time, at the correct temperature. The bar staff were fabulous, we are very happy that his company were our caterers:)

We received so many compliments on the food, linens, room set-up and champagne. Iris and her staff's attention to detail was wonderful and they were so easy to work with. The cake (from Sugarbaker's) was absolutely gorgeous. Our entire family had such an enjoyable day thanks to Zeffert & Gold.

Mrs. Iris was a pleasure to work with! She made choosing our reception food very easy and provided so many options. The food was absolutely delicious! Creative varieties too! And the staff set up all of the decorations at the reception to make it so beautiful!

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Zeffert and Gold. They were a pleasure to work with, and they made the wedding very special. Being from out-of-town, I relied heavily on their discretion and suggestions about other local vendors as well. They rolled with the punches when the bride and groom had creative ideas. Guests who were not kosher were amazed that kosher food could taste so good! I highly recommend working with them.

Zeffert & Gold was the greatest! They were both my wedding and rehearsal dinner caterer. I had the pleasure of working with Iris and Justina who were very insightful and helped me with the details of my special day. They made everything easy. From the linens, to the menu, etc. If I had a question about anything, I could always email or call and they were always available to help. The food is absolutely delicious and I was told that repeatedly from everyone who came to the wedding. Our cake was beautiful and delicious from SugarBakers through Z&G. If I needed suggestions on other vendors, they were always happy to provide me with their recommendations. All in all, my husband and I were very, very happy with how everything came out and we would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

I am so happy we chose Zeffert and Gold for our wedding. The food was amazing and Iris Gold was wonderful to work with. The food tasting was one of our favorite parts because everything was so delicious and cooked for us that morning. They also give you the option to get your cake through them via Sugar Bakers which I highly suggest. It was so delicious! Iris not only helped us pick our own menu but basically planned our whole cocktail and reception. She took care of the timeline and place settings and even our candy bar. There was a last minute change in their staffing due to a situation out of our control, but we didn't even notice. We loved working with Zeffert and Gold and highly suggest them if you want high quality food unlike normal wedding food you expect.

The whole staff at Zeffert & Gold were amazing to work with - very, very professional and really know their stuff, but also very flexible and easy going. Iris helped us through the whole process and was very easy to work with. Guests raved over the food (and the Sugar Bakers cake that we got through Zeffert & Gold). We went with a buffet style set up because we were worried about budget, but it didn't feel like it looked "less expensive." They had a carving station for the steak and a beautiful presentation of salmon for the guests - it really looked great! Honestly, from all the comparison shopping I did, you can't beat Zeffert & Gold for quality & value. Most importantly though, they are AMAZING in a crisis and just know how to handle anything that may come. We were dealing with 105 degree humid weather and they had a sick bride (not from anything fun - from overheating/dehydration) and they were just so, so helpful. When I was having to be hidden in the back because I was sick, I really didn't have to worry about anything because Iris kept checking on me and also passing on that guests were doing well. So, in summary: Iris is great to work with, the staff are super professional, and the food is delicious. If you choose them for your wedding, you really wont have to worry about things running smoothly-- they definitely will handle everything!

My mother did most of the dealings with the caterer, so I can't really speak to the planning process (though they also did my sister's wedding, so my mo must have had a good experience). The day of the event, Z&G staff were professional and prompt. The food was excellent! I loved having a stations menu so that I could have a little bit of everything. yum yum yum

I can't say enough about Iris and her staff. I was on a very tight budget and Iris worked with me to have a great event within my budget. She offered to lend items to help decorate and never made me feel unreasonable for wanting to stick to a budget. We had numerous do-it-yourself projects and Iris' team was helpful in pulling it all together. We also were able to save a bundle by buying the liquor ourselves, but used the Zeffert and Gold bartender. We had a professional chef who attended our wedding- he typically is very critical about food/restaurants. He raved about the food. My step-brother said he wanted to drink the gravy with a straw it was so good. My husband says that he ate 3 plate fulls. To sum it up- the food was delicious. Having worked for a caterer in the past, I know that problems always happen during an event. I did not hear about a single one! I am sure there must have been a hiccup at least once, but the staff were so professional that I did not even get a hint of it. I have still not heard one complaint. I can not say enough positive things about Iris Gold and her staff! We loved working with Iris, she made us feel like we were her only clients. She answered emails and calls quickly, was very helpful in making menu selections, picking linens, setting up for our reception and so much more. The food that was served at our wedding was delicious, we only wish we had eaten more of it! At our tasting, we were so surprised by how good everything was and that it did not taste like standard wedding fare. Its been a few weeks since our wedding and our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed the food. The staff was extremely professional and took care of everything we needed during our reception - Iris even brought me a plate of appetizers when I was having my bustle done. We could not have asked for anything more and we are so happy with our decision to hire Zeffert & Gold.

From the very first phone call we made to Zeffert & Gold, we knew they were the catering company we wanted to use. Iris was wonderful to work with, and the way Zeffert and Gold worked their pricing made budgeting easy. Just about everything was included in their price-china, silverware, drink-ware, a large selection of linen colors, etc. (All the drink-ware was glass-not plastic cups like we've had at some weddings.) Iris was very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. She was always quick to respond to questions we had. She made suggestions when we asked for them, always gave us honest answers, and allowed us to create the menu we wanted, and also accommodated our guests w/ special dietary needs. Everyone raved about how good the food was, and how friendly and professional the staff was. Nakita was in our charge of running our reception, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. She made sure everything was done just as we wanted it, and looked out for my husband and I to make sure we had everything we needed. At the end of the night she sent us away with a beautiful basketful of food for the evening, and packaged up the rest of the food for my parents to take home with them. The staff even helped my parents collect everything from the venue and get it to their car. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer!

Iris and her staff at Zeffert and Gold were AMAZING! Throughout the process of planning, they were so responsive and helpful in everything we had a question about. From our tasting (delicious!) to choosing chairs for the ceremony, Zeffert and Gold knows how to do it. The food was incredible and their help in setting up our reception was so comforting. I have to say the best part about this catering company is the people. They were such a joy to be around at the wedding and were incredibly friendly, fun and professional. Thank you, Zeffert and Gold for such an incredible experience!

Zeffert and Gold Catering is fabulous! They were affordable, the food was delicious, and everything turned out beautifully for our event. Iris was so down-to-earth and helpful right up to the last minute. We had so many of our guests come up and tell us that the food was the best they're ever had at a wedding! We would love to use them again in the future and will recommend them to all of our friends and family.

What would we have done without Monroe Zeffert? We received news that we couldn't use our venue only a few months before our wedding, and Monroe immediately calmed me and reminded us of another venue we'd considered. It ended up being the perfect place, and the wedding went off without a hitch. Everyone loved the food and the presentation. I know that there was a full wait staff, but they were so discreet that I don't recall seeing anyone throughout the evening!

Using Zeffert and Gold was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. From our first meeting to the actual wedding day Iris Gold was a pleasure to work with. Every idea and vision I had for the wedding Iris made happen. On the actual day of the wedding I had the pleasure of having both Iris and Aaron Gold at my event and it was a success! Our guests raved about all the food from the passed apple cider, to cocktail hour and dinner itself. The setup looked beautiful. You will not be disappointed if you chose them to cater your event, I would highly recommend them.

Iris and her staff did an awesome job overall, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Throughout the planning process they were very accommodating and receptive to our ideas. The food tasting and wine selection meetings were particularly fun. Aaron Gold really knows his food and wine. We wanted to have dinner served family style, and Z&G made it work great! it made for a really dynamic dinner experience, and people liked being able to try a little of everything. The food itself was very good, and we liked that they were able to use local and seasonal ingredients. Iris and the whole Z&G's staff were also very good at pampering my husband and I throughout our entire wedding day so we were able to eat and drink plenty! Once again, I would highly recommend this team, they did a really great job!

The catering company went out of they way to make sure everything was perfect. The food was exquisite. People are still talking about the food almost a week later. Iris worked with us and went well above and beyond anything we could ask for. Her staff was so professional and polite the guest comment how nice they were. The food came out hot for every person at the sit down dinner. I would HIGHLY recommend this catering company and would use them again!

I had the best experience with Z&G catering. They were able to suggest ideas when I wasn't sure of what to provide for the guests instead of the usual pointless party favors (we had a candy bar). The food was amazing and I am still receiving compliments from everyone I saw at the wedding. The room look gorgeous and couldn't have asked for better service. A++++
