Venus Bridal Collection

I walked into Venus Bridals as the first appointment of many my mother and I had set up for a weekend of gown shopping. Within the first hour, I found the perfect dress at the perfect price. All in the shop were very helpful, and even though the dress cam in quite large, Zachi (sp?) tailored it perfectly - after 4 different fittings! - so that come wedding night, I didn't have to worry about adjusting anything or anything moving out of place. I got so many compliments on my gown throughout the entire evening.

I purchased my wedding gown and had it altered at Venus. When purchasing my dress, they were respectful of my budget and really helped me find what I was looking for. They were always very accommodating to my schedule with setting up appointments. Their seamstress was very helpful and their prices were reasonable for alterations. I have no complaints!

The staff at Venus were fabulous to work with. Their collection was great and the setup made me feel special as I tried on gowns. Once there, I did not need to go anywhere else for a gown. I tried on more dresses then the appointment time and they did not rush me out. They were great at ordering the dress and the alterations. When my gown needed one additional alteration the week before the wedding, they were able to do it and have it ready with a few days to spare. Also, I found my bridesmaid dresses online and they were able to order the dresses for all of my bridesmaids. Most of the bridesmaids were out of town so they were able to work with them to order the dresses. Every time I walked in the store they recognized me and were completely friendly. I would highly recommend going there to get your dress.

I found my wedding dress here about 10 months before my wedding date. The customer service and atomosphere of this bridal shop surpassed other places I had been. I wanted/needed to lose some weight and each time I came in for a fitting, the dress fit a little bit better and they kept encouraging me to keep up the good work! Of course if all else failed, they would have altered it but I didn't want to go there. At my final dress fitting, it was perfect. I bought some jewelry there to go with it and they carried it out to my car. I also got my veil there too which was stunning. Absolutely no problems, no complaints about this dress shop and would highly recommend it for a bride looking for a reliable, friendly place to have that special moment of picking out your wedding dress!

I purchased my wedding dress from Venus Bridal and am very pleased with the experience! I found a beautiful dress for a fair price (I looked at the same dress at another vendor and Venus was more affordable). While my dress took several months to come in, I had given myself plenty of time so this was not a problem. Venus Bridal was very quick with the alterations, and overall I was very pleased with the final product! I will be taking my wedding dress back to Venus Bridal for preservation.

Venus bridal takes care of their dresses, which allowed me to buy one "as-is." I ended up with a much nicer dress than I dared wish for, since I got it off the rack. Staff are friendly and helpful, and alterations were good, if expensive.

Venus Bridal Shop was outstanding. They had a great variety of dresses. Mine was beautiful but the seamstress added some bead work to the train of the dress that really just made the dress. They were real flexible with appointments which was great because I have such a crazy work schedule. I would recommend this wedding dress shop to all my friends getting married.

I went into Venus Bridal with a certain style of dress in mind and after I tried on a couple that didn't fit well, Zacki (the owner) brought over a dress that wasn't at all what I had in mind and insisted I try it on. I'm so glad she did! It was absolutely beautiful and fit like a glove! She also did a great job of keeping things in our price range and the alterations I wanted, including the removal of the train, looked flawless. My dress looked spectacular on our wedding day and held up through hours of dancing. My mother also found her dress at Venus and looked lovely.

I am very pleased that I chose Venus Bridal for my gown. Zacki did an excellent job helping me to pick the right gown (and at a much more reasonable price than the shops in Frederick, MD, for the same gown). Not only that, but she tailored the dress to perfection, helping to fit the bodice and even to remove some layers of crinoline from the skirt. My only complaint is that my bustle kept falling down during the reception. We also found my mother of the bride's dress here and she looked gorgeous. Zacki was a pleasure to work with; she was always kind and willing to help accommodate any request. Thanks so much!

I went to Venus Bridal to look for wedding dresses after going to TLC in Frederick, MD. I was so happy to find the same dress at Venus for $400 less than TLC in Frederick. The owner was also a seamstress, so she was able to tell me right away if an alteration I was considering could be done or not. She was friendly and allowed me to come in multiple times to try on the dress after it came in. She altered my dress the first time a little tight, but she modified it after I asked her. My dress was perfect! Thank you, Venus!

I got my perfect dress at Venus and the owner could not have been more helpful and professional. I have referred many people to the Salon. It looks like it is a small shop, but it has an amazing selection and the nicest service! Great dresses for the whole wedding party.

I LOVED working with Venus Bridal Collection. It is a VERY small shop which you will drive by if you don't know it's there. I got caught in a rain storm and pulled off the road 6 months before my wedding. I walked in there and after 3 dresses found the dress of my dreams. I ordered it on the spot. I came back to get the alterations done and everything went so smoothly. The dress fit perfectly, the veil matched great (everything was purchased at Venus Bridal Collection), the hair pins as well. Please take time to go to this off the beaten path shop, it is SO worth it!

Not only did we find the most beautiful wedding dress and brides maids' dresses at this boutique, but they did amazing work altering those dresses to ensure they fit perfectly. All of our guests commented on how wonderful the entire bridal party looked. They handled last minute problems and issues professionally even when we felt it was too much to ask of them. I highly recommend this boutique for your special day.

Venus Bridal Collection is located in a not so glamorous location but I assure there are beautiful dresses and you will feel special when you shop there. Prior to going to the store I emailed them to see if they had a particular style. They wrote back promptly that they did. Oddly enough that happened to be "The Dress." The first time I went in with my mom, future mother in law, and my two MOH's we were able to look at dresses and pick a few. The lady helped me into the dresses and didn't push me into trying something I didn't like. She did have me try on a lot of veils but that could of been my mother being pushy. I was stuck between two dresses and the seamstress shared with me her opinion that my dress was more special and that I looked amazing in it. I did not buy it that day because I wanted some time to think on it and they had no problem with that. The second time I went in I was with one of the newer employees but she did a wonderful job helping me in the dress and making me confident in my decision. My measurements were taken and 10-14 weeks later my dress came in. They gave me a call that it is was in and gorgeous! My next appointment was just to come in to try it on and see it which was fantastic because there was no pressure. Oddly enough the dress fit me perfectly to a tee and the only thing I was worried about was the length because I didn't want the dress too long in case for my winter wedding snow was on the ground. My first and only fitting appointment I came in and they basically said I didn't need anything done. It was my idea to get an inch taken off the bottom which was NOT cheap. I also had cups added since I wasn't going to wear a bra which was cheap and worth every penny (ask my husband- lol). I had a bustle added which wasn't done untill the day I came to get it. It took them five minutes to sew it on and it was like $70 or so dollars which I think is ridiculous. Sadly on the wedding day the bustle (only one button) broke so I had to put it on another button. I read a lot of complaints about the bag it came in. I had no problem because it was long enough so that the dress wouldn't be wrinkly at the bottom. The bag was white at which I needed to cover with a sheet in case my now husband could take a peek. Overall I really am pleased with Venus Bridal Collection. Their seamstress is really knowledgeable and the quality of service is great. My only suggestion to them is to have more reasonable prices on alterations or offer more discounts or have more...

I shopped around the area for a while and didnt like much of the other stores at all. Tried on several dresses at this shop that I'd be happy to go home with! The people there are great as well and had a wide range of selection and prices. Seamstress is great at altering the dresses. Accessories here are a bit overpriced but beautiful. Definitely a great place to buy a wedding dress!

Everyone at Venus was very friendly and eager to help. My dress needed to be taken in and had a lot of lace detailing around the bottom. ONce it was all finished, it looked and fit perfectly! The only downside was the cost of alterations. I had to have them done 2 or three times and it added up.

I am a bride of a "certain age," and I had no intention of having a wedding dress, but after purchasing two white dresses from the "mall," I slipped into Venus Bridal to get an idea of what a "real" dress might be like. Well, they helped me choose an affordable and tasteful dress for our garden wedding. I was very pleased with the price because I think it was fair. The alterations took several fittings, and my mother, a seamstress, finally figured out what was wrong and made suggestions, but I found the entire staff to be wonderful. I would recommend this bridal shop to EVERYONE. If I had bought this dress more than a week before the wedding (I know, I am crazy for waiting), I would have had my mother make the alterations, but I was in a hurry. If you do buy a dress from this store, and you have time, you might want to research another place to do the alterations. I took my dress home and tried it on several times before taking it back for alterations.

Bottom line: My dress was AMAZING, the alterations were done GREAT, and I looked MARVELOUS on the day of. Her collection is good quality. I got lots of compliments on my dress. She tailored VERY well to my body---it was evident in the photos. Another great thing was that I was able to stay under budget with my dress cost, as my dress was a floor model in flawless condition. Her dresses come in various price points, and mine was under $1000, so I felt comfortable. Alteration costs were a bit more than expected, but she was willing to keep it down, so they didn't get out of hand. Zacki, the owner, is a shrewd business women, so just know that she's sweet, professional, but firm and keen on using "bridal boutique lingo" to sell. But that's most shops for you. Everyone else who worked there were equally nice and helpful. I would recommend Venus Bridal to other brides who want a good quality dress and alterations that were done well.

Venus Bridal did a great job with my wedding gown. It had to be altered quite a bit because of how short I am. I chose an ankle length gown that resembled my grandmother's wedding gown from 1956. They never stuck me with any pins. My wedding gown was in perfect condition everytime I came for a fitting. They were very friendly. They worked really hard so my wedding gown would be ready on time. The one piece of advice I have is to order your dress as soon as you know what you want like 10 months ahead so there is plenty of time to get it in and then to alter it exactly the way you want it. I have no complaints about Venus Bridal.

Got my wedding dress here- same dress was more expensive at another shop! One downfall- does not come in a bridal dress bag- comes in an oversized trash can.
