Jeannie was my bridal consultant and she was truly amaaaazing! I went in with an appointment and didn't have to wait for more than 5 minutes. I had an idea of what style I liked and had a dress that I tried on at other stores that I really liked. After explaining that to her, Jeannie pulled lots of different styles for me to try and see if we can "beat that one dress" and was incredibly patient. We finally decided on the dress that I had tried on multiple times and I was happy to find out that it was almost $500 cheaper than other places for the exact same dress.
I will say, however, that their accessories are ridiculously expensive and after reading all the reviews, I've decided to go elsewhere for the alterations but I had a great experience with purchasing the dress and I love love love Jeanie, she was truly fantastic! Not pushy, very understanding, completely professional- she just made the dress purchasing experience very...

These people were terrible. I was recommened to their shop by several people. But they treated me horribly and were so hard to work with. They were unorganized and just money hungry. I'm dissapointed that I ever set foot in their store. They used rush and pressure sale tactics. Looking back on it I felt slightly ambushed.

Do not buy your dress from this place. I had a great bridal consultant who found the perfect dress for me BUT underestimated the price of some of my accessories (by $200) and my alterations (by almost $500).
The first seamtress repeatedly told me the alterations I wanted done could not be done (she would not perform them), and my first fitting took me over 1 1/2 hours. I was near tears, and I am not a bridezilla bride! Each fitting after that I asked for various things to be done and most of them did not get done (taking in the dress so it fit me better, taking in the corset, adjusting the bustle, etc.). After complaining they gave my mom $100 to make us feel better, which was less than 5% of what we had paid at the store. The night of the wedding, my dress slid down-and it was apparent that the alterations I asked for were not complete. One of my ruching pleats fell out BEFORE the reception...
It was a mess, and they were unprofessional when I voiced my displeasure in my service (the OWNERS). I would never recommend anyone to go there-EVER

If you live in the the DC metro or Baltimore area this is the place to get your dress. They have a wide selection of beautiful dresses. They also have personal consultants that will tend to just you. The other thing I liked about them is they will iron and press your dress for you as well as they can work out a payment plan with you. If you cant pay in full thats no problem, you can pay as much or as little as you want. Although if you do a payment plan you cant pick up the dress until you have paid in full.

Picking out a dress at The Bridal Boutique was such a lovely process. The woman who help me find the dress was amazing. She sat down with me and my sister and mom and we talking about the look I was going for. She listened to was I was saying and also was receptive to my very small budget. She picked out 7 dresses for me to try on in different price ranges so that I could see what a difference in money would get me. She gave me 100s of different ideas on how to change the dress and make it unique to me. I would highly recommend getting your dress there however, after that day things went down hill. We decided to go ahead and get my dress altered there. Our experience was not as awesome as it was when we initially brought the dress. When I went for my first dress fitting I stood in the dressing room for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come in and help me button it up. When we finally met with the alterations woman she was very nice and created a beautiful bustle that I was very happy with. However, we felt like the other women in the store were trying to push us out and rush us because the appointment was very close to closing time. When I came back for my second fitting we needed instructions on how to do the bustle so the same alterations woman came back out and it turns out a different person sewed the buttons on and she did it all wrong. After another hour of fooling with the bustle she was able to figure out how to fix it. We came back for a third fitting and finally it was correct but we found stains on my dress that were not originally there. Because I brought my dress there, they gave my husband a free tux rental so we decided to also go with them for all of our groomsmen/dads tuxes. Unfortunately, I do NOT recommend using them for this service. My husband and I went in on a Saturday to pick out the color and style of the tuxes. They gave us a price of $150 for each tux which is about the same price for tuxes at mens wearhouse so we were happy with that. They wrote down all of they styles and colors and put it in a folder. When the groomsmen when to do their measurements however, someone had lost the folder and my husband had to re pick out all the styles and colors. When my husband left the store that night he did not feel like the man who wrote down everything got it right. So we went back to the bridal boutique again about a week before the wedding because we did not feel like they were going to get the tuxes right. Sure enough, the man did not write the styles or colors down correctly and if we had not gone back it would have been totally wrong. Our wedding was on a Friday so while we were there I asked what day we should come and pick up the tuxes. The woman told us Thursday and we were confused as to why we could not pick up the tuxes two days before. Apparently there was another mix up as to what day our event was and another woman said "call us back the week before and we will make sure to have your tuxes in by wednesday".. We had to explain to her that IT WASSSS a week before their wedding. Through all of this, We just got a sense that they were not very organized. When our folder was lost, we lost the pricing of the tuxes and they made us pay $170 for each tux. My husband's tux was NOT free as originally advertised but in fact he had to pay a $35 "insurance fee" which he did not get back. So overall, buying the dress there was great, alterations was ok and getting tuxes there was awful.

I purchased my wedding dress at this store and I had the best experience with the bridal consultant! She was awesome and helpful. Every experience after my picking out the dress was awful. Costumer service stops at the swipe of the card. I was rushed in and out on the pick up of my dress and told I didn't need alterations when the dress was hanging off me. Not one of my bridesmaids (I have 8) has been able to fit into their dress. One was even ordered the wrong size, and she was told to get it taken out. After consultation with another seamstress, she was told it would change the style of the dress. It took two months of phone calls and emails to convince them to order a new dress. Im not a bridezilla but felt these were basic costumer service details.

I would not recommend this vendor. While do have a good selection and pricing. The service is very poor. Not only did they order the wrong dress, they handled the entire situation very poorly. It was very hard to communicate with their office and I did not feel comfortable with their services. I would go elsewhere and save yourself the worry.

I purchased my dress from this small boutique. They have a large selection which is crowded but that did not bother me. The order process was a bit of a pain. For my dress it was fine but they gave me a huge headache for the bridesmaids dresses. ALL of which had to be altered significantly even with measurements and their recommendations. When I went in for my fitting they took the dress into a room and left it hanging. I had to get it off the hanger and myself in it... THEN they could not be bothered to help me zip it. I had to walk out holding it up! I had to take the gown then... MONTHS before the wedding even when they had me order it in their timeline. Luckily my Aunt had room to store it. They tried to pressure me to buy an expensive veil. After that I was not letting them touch it for alterations. I ended up with a local seamstress. Thank goodness! After I told them I was not coming there for alterations an employee called THREE times to ask if I was brining it in.
I would skip this store... I am all for a local boutique to get great personal service but not this one!

I actually found my dress at Gamberdella’s but was concerned about getting the dress there because of other bad reviews. I ended up getting the dress at the Bridal Boutique because I heard good things about their service, the location was convenient, and their prices were good. The dress came in earlier than expected (always a good thing) and the alterations were wonderful. I really enjoyed working with all of the different consultants and my bridesmaids enjoyed working with them as well since they got their dresses there too (also at a discount since I bought mine there). One of my bridesmaids is now purchasing her wedding gown there after having such a good experience with my wedding.

I was not a traditional bride and I wanted to wear a short ivory bridesmaid dress for my wedding. At first I was thrilled that these ladies were not quick to judge me for not selecting a princess dress. Each time I went in for fittings, however, it seemed like I was speaking another language when I explained to them that I was here to pick up a bridesmaid dress for myself for my own wedding. I also wish that I had gone elsewhere for my alterations.
After the alterations, it seemed that I ended up with a completely different dress than what I had purchased. It just didn't lay right and it is obvious in many of my wedding photos. During one fitting, I found that they had sewn the dress's pockets nearly shut. Also, at their suggestion, I had them make a belt to go with my dress. $70 later, I got a green tube with an awkward hook closure that looked incredibly amateur. I ended up having to purchase a $20 pre-made belt from David's Bridal that looked much better.

I was very happy to find The Bridal Boutique. The dress selection is outstanding and I found the perfect dress! I would recommend the boutique to any bride but be aware there are not a lot of people working so make an appointment and be patient. But overall definitely a great place for beautiful wedding dresses.

I had a great experience at The Bridal Boutique and loved their selection of dresses. It was one of my last stops and thank goodness I went there. My dress was a San Patrick Eresma and was stunning! I, along with my bridesmaids, received great service there and all were happy with the dresses and alterations. They could not have been more accommodating to my two sisters, who both had babies within a month of my wedding. They even came to my one sister's house to complete her alterations since she gave birth 7 days before my wedding. I'll be forever grateful to them for that!

Ladies, shop elsewhere for your dress! Let me tell you about my experience: after putting my dress on, I was twisting, turning and trying to make sure I would be able to perform my wedding dance in my gown. To my horror, PINS WERE POKING ME!! This should have been a special moment for me but instead it was upsetting! They did not finish hemming my dress properly! This is supposed to be a decent bridal shop! What a joke!

The Bridal Boutique has a pretty good selection of dresses and I tried on several different styles. I opted to have a dress I saw online shipped to their store and was able to have a fitting and purchase it on the spot. Julie G. was a wonderful bridal consultant and I would highly recommend her to others. Their Italian seamstress is nice but average and did a decent enough job with my bustle and alterations. Although, make sure they take the right amount at the hem because my dress was still a little too long the day of the wedding. If not for convenience, I would recommend going elsewhere for alterations, as they were very pricey ($275 for a French bustle and hem). My major disappointment would be the fact that they do not let you keep the nice plastic bag that the dress comes with, you must pay $25 extra for it. After paying so much for a dress, you think they would be able to include that. Also, once I received my dress back after final alterations, they said they would steam it. I received it back in a cheap, white plastic bag with wrinkles everywhere! I had to go back to them a few days before my wedding to have them steam it (again)! All in all, their prices are reasonable for the DC area. I have already recommended them to another family member getting married this year.

I purchased my wedding gown from The Bridal Boutique in January, for my August wedding. The first time there, when I was shopping, the service was great and the people were attentive. I had them hold my dress for a few days (they had one in my size in stock) and then went back to buy it. That part was seamless. It was also great that they had my size because they gave me 20% off for in-stock. My dress wound up costing me $1400.
However, once it came time to do the alterations, things got a little tough because the seamstress didn't speak English very well (at all) and we were unable to communicate about what I wanted. My second fitting, which was for the bustle, literally took 2 hours because I would tell her what I wanted and she would pin it up but it wouldn't be what I had said, and then we would do it over and over. I was just about in tears and finally one of the sales girls came over and helped and within 15 minutes of that intervention the appointment was finished.
It was really really stressful - probably the most stressful part of my wedding and I really didn't get too stressed about things because I am not one of those Bridezilla brides. But this was over-the-top stress. The alterations cost me a TON - $350 - and I don't think that they were worth the hassle, headache, and tears.
The dress fit ALMOSt right on the day of...but it was a tad tight, and in fact, my strap ripped at the reception, and one of the bustles (which cost $25 each) came out so my dress was held up with safety pins for the rest of the evening. Not cool.
Additionally, I typically would arrive in the store and stand around for a few minutes before anyone greeted or acknowledged me. It was always very busy.
I will say that they were accommodating to my schedule, and allowed me to come in on Sundays for alterations.
Bottom line...Although I LOVED my gown, I would not shop at the Bridal Boutique again - too much of a headache and not quality alterations, especially for the price.

My dress was AMAZING. They have a very nice selection. The consultants are often very busy though, which means your consultant could also be helping another bride at the exact same time. The store is also pretty small so it can get cramped in there. I also had trouble with them rescheduling my appointments a lot. It was never that much of a problem, but I live about 45 mins away so it was always a bit annoying to have to work around their schedule, not my own. The alterations turned out perfectly (although it was a bit expensive - $200 just to hem the dress!) and it fit so well. Overall I am very happy with the dress that I purchased from the Bridal Boutique.

I came into the dress salon knowing what style of dress I had wanted since I had been to other stores previously. The Bridal Boutique had the same style of dress for a lot less money than other local stores. The service of the sales people were fantastic but we had a little bit of trouble with the alterations staff. My mom and I had to double-check with them several times to make sure they were making the exact alterations/adjustments that we wanted. In the end we couldn't have been happier with the final results despite several glitches along the way.

My experience at this boutique was quite successful. I credit most of that to my wonderful associate Zandra who not only helped me find the right dress for me (and my less than perfect figure) but selected and helped me try on a variety of styles and silhouettes so that I knew I was selecting the best dress for me. She knew exactly what she was doing and took essential measurements so that when the dress arrived, to my surprise and elation, the dress fit perfectly. No alterations were needed at all, and the only additional work that I had done was to add a bustle.
Also, I was able to purchase my wedding dress, veil, strapless bra (I searched many stores including David’s Bridal without any luck and finding my size) and my maid of honor’s dress at this boutique. I live over 90 minutes from this store, but it was worth the travel because I am very satisfied with the dress. I did notice that the store owners came across to me as a little pushy and they always wanted to change my appointment time, but it was only a mild annoyance compared to being satisfied.
