Mindy created beautiful, individual hairstyles for each member of the bridal party. She had pictures and suggestions to help with preferences, but also listened to what each person wanted. As the mother of the bride, I said that I wanted to look pretty much like myself - nothing fancy - but better! Her cheerful response to my request had me looking like a fabulous but in no way overdone version of myself. She was easy to work with, personable, and a very talented hairdresser.

Mindy did a phenomenal job on my wedding party. She did the hair for my bridal party including three little girls who actually sat still long enough to let her do her work and didn't once complain, because she is so good at what she does. She worked under an extremely tight timeline due to unexpected events that day and by time she got to me (last) she was just as calm and a pleasure to be around which kept me calm. She is able to recreate any hairstyle you can imagine. I had pictures for what I wanted for all of my girls and they all turned out looking just like the pictures did. She is in my opinion the BEST of the best and a joy to have part of your wedding day!

Mindy was absolutely fantastic to work with! We had so much fun at my wedding hair trial and on the day of the wedding! I really felt like she understood what I was looking for! I even changed my mind about my hairstyle at the last minute but that didn't frazzle her in the least! She has great suggestions and really listens to her clients. She is extremely professional and very talented! All the girls loved their hair!!! Hiring Mindy and Nicole (Happily Ever After LLC) together is a treat too!!!

Mindy was a joy to work with and she did such an amazing job on my hair! I actually liked my hair much better on the day of the wedding than during the trial. We had so many laughs during the trial and on the day of the wedding. She did my hair, 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-in-law. At the last minute two family members wanted to get thier hair done, as well and Mindy was great about adding two extra people. Mindy came all the way to Ocean City and was able to come to the wedding site, which was such a convenience. I would highly recommend Mindy to anyone.

Mindy Whalen did an excellent job with my bridesmaids updo's on my wedding day (8/19/2011). She was very professional, prompt and open to the girls suggestions. She had her daughter come help curl the hair, to make the process move along faster. Her price was great too. I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to do updo's.

Mindy rocks!!! She replied to my initial email even though she was away on vacation, letting me know that she was open for my date. I showed up for my trial at her home in Baltimore armed with a handful of photos and my hair accessories. We chatted briefly about my wedding's aesthetic and the look I was going for (victorian / garden party / vintage) and then she cheerfully went to work. In 20 minutes, she had created a perfect updo for me! She showed up right on time on the day of my wedding and proceeded to do my hair as well as 4 attendants, my mom, and my mother-in-law. Everyone looked so elegant and beautiful, and the styles held up all day in the MD summer steam heat. Mindy is a really sweet, fun, laid-back person who does truly gorgeous work! My updo lasted all day, even with my baby-fine never-holds-a-curl hair. Even in 98 degree, just-after-a-thunderstorm, 99% humidity, even with all of the dancing and jumping and posing and running around. I would recommend Mindy to anyone, she loves her job and it shows!

Mindy was very nice and did a great job on my hair for my wedding day. She also did my 3 bridesmaid's hair beautifully. I met with Mindy a few days before my wedding to have a trial done. She did a wonderful job! Mindy was very flexible and came to my hotel room the morning of my wedding (6:00am) to do our hair. Like I said before, she did a wonderful job and all the girls really liked her. My only complaint was my hair looked slightly different on my wedding day than at the trial and unfortunately, I liked the trial a little better. I would recommend taking a picture of your hair at the trial run so she can do it exactly the same.

It was truly an honor to have Mindy do mine, and my girls hair for my wedding. We told her what we wanted, and she executed ALL of our styles. She played around with all of our textures and lengths to suggest what she thought was best. Ultimately, we choose our styles and each one looked JUST like the picture we wanted. I can speak for ALL my ladies when saying we would recommend Mindy for any event. Her friendly attitude, great spirit and awesome talent really won us over!! Mindy is AMAZING! She is super sweet, very easy to work with and she does fantastic work! She is professional, prompt and very well prepared. She came on-site to do my hair, my bridesmaids' hair and our mothers' hair. She works very quickly, but still does quality work. We actually had her do two extra girls' hair and she still finished everyone's hair perfectly on time. I would absolutely use Mindy again in a heartbeat!

I can't say enough good things about Mindy! Not only is she a skilled stylist, she is unbelievably sweet and down to earth. She looked at the many pictures of 'things I kinda like' and she could see instantly what look I was going for (and she could articulate it much better than me). She was on time and prepared the day of my wedding and all 5 women (me, my sis, mom, mom in law and sis in law) all looked beautiful. I don't think a single piece of hair was out of place all day long. I would highly recommend Mindy.PS: She even referred me to a fabulous make-up artist!

Mindy did an amazing job with the entire bridal party! She truly listened to what each person asked for and made it happen, she was very open to feedback and was a truly joy to have in the bridal suite. Mindy can to our hotel room, which was an amazing stress-savor. She brought everything she needed and more in order to do everyone's hair. My mom and mother-in-law were aprehensive about having their hair done but convincing them to give it a shot they were both THRILLED!!!!!!!! Everyone's hair held up perfectly throughout the night, despite the extreme heat and hopping dance floor! We booked Mindy and Nicole together and we had an awesome time and amazing look when they were done! I highly recommend Mindy to any bride looking for a funfilled, stress-free wedding day!

Mindy did a fabulous job on my hair for my wedding! We did a trial a couple of months before the wedding and my hair looked exactly like the picture I brought. It even held up after sleeping on it all night. On they day of my wedding she was right on time and listened to bridesmaids to make sure they got the look they wanted. My hair was amazing and looked exactly like it was at the hair trial and I loved it. She even let me keep more hairspray and bobby pins in case I needed them. My wedding was outdoors on Memorial Day weekend so it was hot! But my hair held up as much as expected and I wouldn't change a thing!

My hair looked absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. Mindy did a great job on my hair and all of the girls hair! She is very affordable and even better is the fact that she comes to you! Her and Nicole work extremely well together and I def reccomend booking them both!

I loved my hair and it held up even in extreme winds! Mindy was great. She came to my house the morning of the wedding and was able to do the entire bridal party as well as my hair. It was much more relaxing to me than having to go somewhere and wait around and the prices were comparable if not better.

All you have to do is show Mindy a picture and BOOM... thats what she does... she worked quickly and the end results were amazing!!!There was a small time issue and she got lost and tried to call (but apparently dialed the wrong number...) I called her home # and her husband assured me she was on the way.... she arrived shortly after. That aside, even showing up 25 minutes late she had all of the girls ready in plenty of time and everything worked out. She is friendly and her work.... its amazing!!! Maybe try to get her cell number if you book her... in case something were to happen?!?

Perfect! Hair trial went seamlessly. Followed through on wedding day. Stayed in place the entire day and into the evening. Mindy was quick and efficient getting everyones hair done. She also worked with a variety of hair types from short and fine to long and really thick without any issues.

I love this woman! She's incredibly nice, down to earth and really listens to whatever visions you may have about your wedding day look. Between me (the bride), my bridesmaids, mom and flower girls, we had 8 'dos' to do the morning of our wedding and Mindy was fabulous. We even finished slightly ahead of schedule! I absolutely loved my hair the day of our wedding and I'm still getting compliments today. Every single strand stayed in place the entire day and it still looked perfect at midnight. I highly recommend Mindy!
