Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection

I was more than pleased with my experience at Betsy Robinson's Bridal, and would {without a doubt} recommend them to any future bride. Based on previous brides' feedback and because I have a family friend who alters gowns, I did not utilize Betsy Robinson's Bridal for alterations. Much of the negative feedback on this site about them is with regard to alterations. So just go somewhere else for that- let the pros here find you the gown of your dreams. The woman who helped me was Rose, and she was a pure treat to work with. I walked into the store with my mom, best friend, and not a whole lot of ideas about what I wanted in a gown. I told Rose what I did know (loves, hates) and she found me the perfect dress right away. Of course, I had to try on a few just for fun, but she nailed it quickly- listening to my thought on gowns she had me try on. Rose was attentive, professional, respectful, stays within your budget, and does her job well. If you have the chance to specify your consultant when making an appointment, I'd highly suggest booking with Rose. I got lucky to be paired with her, and if you do too, you won't be disappointed!

I found the most exquisite service at Betsy Robinson. Maria, particularly, was awesome in helping me find the perfect gown. She is truly a lovely person. We were also able to find beautiful gowns for my mother and my mother in law. I was extremely happy and satisfied with my experience.

Loved Loved Loved working with them!! Finding my dress was the easy part, I knew what I wanted, but when it came to fittings they were very helpful and really flexible!I also got my bridesmaids dresses here which were beautiful as well!

My partner and I both purchased our dresses from Betsy Robinson. Overall, the sales people were great to work with, and didn't bat an eyelash at helping two brides. Also, both dresses were altered well and in a timely fashion.

I bought my wedding dress at a Watters sample sale at Betsy Robinson and it was amazing! The staff were all so easy and nice to work with. The alterations were affordable and perfect. The shop is such a pleasant place to spend time in with your family/wedding party. So fun!

Ever since I was a little girl, I would pass by the window of Betsy Robinson and say to my mom, "I cant wait to buy my cinderella gown from them mommy." Well the time came, I was engaged, and my mom wasnt here. She passed away 3 years ago. I went with my 2 older sisters, and fell in love with the first dress that Betsy pulled out for me. I was in love and had to buy it. It was bought that day!!! It was the most beautiful princess dress in the world. I loved it and didnt want to take it off!!!!!!!!!!! They were amazing, as expected, and they made this experience beyond memorable!

Betsy Robinson's was wonderful to work with. I ended up getting my dress, jewelry and veil, and all of my bridesmaids also ordered their dresses from the store. I went to several bridal salons before this one and wish I had just come here originally. They were great with helping me find a dress to match my personality, and Estelle knew exactly which dress I would pick. The fittings went great and I had no complaints about my dress. It was absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend them to any bride in Maryland or the surrounding area.

I also really wanted to love Betsy Robinsons Bridal. I love my dress, and I loved my initial meeting/shopping trip at the shop..but that's about it. When I found my dress and was measured, I was told that I probably would not need many alterations and the only thing I should expect to change is the hem. (Unless I gained or lost weight or something else drastic) Upon receiving my dress...I was told I'd need to have 1 1/2 inches from each side taken in, although my weight had not fluctuated more than 5 pounds. I was told that I was measured correctly, and that they had ordered the size according to the largest area of my body (my hips). Totally understandable, if the hips (as well as the bust) didn't need to also be taken in at least an inch on each side. I either think that I was taken advantage of, or someone ordered me the wrong sized dress.Let's go back to my first fitting. I was never informed that there was more than 1 way to do a bustle on a dress with a longer train...I watched as the seamstress made 12 bustles that she called 'Austrian.' Looked alright, but I wasn't in love. I asked her if there was any other way to bustle, and she quickly responded with a 'No, this is how it is.' I guess I trusted her a bit too much, and went with it. When I went to pay for my alterations after my fitting, but before anything but pinning was done to the dress...I literally GASPED when I was told the total of what it would cost. Considering this is my first wedding and I've never done this before, I sucked it up and figured that this was my only option to have things done correctly. I paid the bill and left.After calling around to other shops and other seamstresses the following day, I realized how much I had been taken advantage of. I called 6 other shops and had 3 different shops see the dress on me that day, and I didn't receive 1 quote that was even HALF the price of what they were trying to charge. I immediately called and spoke with the manager (Who just happened to be my consultant from my first trip to the shop) and was told my alterations hadn't been started yet, and to my surprise, I could be refunded my money. I picked my dress up the following day and found a great seamstress closer to my home for 1/4 of the price, and who gave me 3 different ideas to bustle my dress.... The dress then fit me perfectly.

The first dress I tried on was the winning dress :) Everyone at Betsy Robinson's, including Betsy herself, were very, very accomodating and helpful through every step of the process in getting my wedding dress and veil. The dress was PERFCT the day of the wedding!

My wedding dress was about $600 more at another boutique, so I spoke to Betsy Robinson and was able to get a fair price. Most of the staff was very nice and professional. I know it sounds weird, but I felt a little uncomfortable because everyone seemed overly enthused, therefore it felt insincere. The only other problem is the pricing of other items. The veil I wanted was about $450 and the alterations cost almost $400. I think that's where they make a lot of their money. But overall, I do recommend this boutique because all that matters is fair pricing (on the dress) and on-time delivery and alterations.

I must recommend Maria at Betsy Robinson. She's hilarious and ridiculously helpful. I knew what dress I wanted, tried a few others on, but we both agreed that my non-existent butt looked like it existed in the dress I wanted. She met my budget and helped out with all of the bridesmaids dresses. We did have some issues with the bridesmaids dresses. We purchased all of them through the store. The sizing was way off on a couple of them. One of my bridesmaids had to take the bust in 3" and the waist in 5". The maternity dress that another bought, was large enough to literally fit my bridesmaid and her husband into. She was told to purchase a 22, bought a 16 because she thought the sizing was outrageously off, and ended up need a ridiculous amount of tailoring. However, after seeing the sizing issues with the dress, the tailors at Betsy Robinson made all the alterations (sans the hem) without charging her.Overall I really think they really did a great job

Betsy Robinson's has such a large dress selection with a wide range of prices. They also offer trunk shows. If you are lucky enough to find your dress at one of their trunk shows, it feels even more special. This happened to me. I got to meet the designer and make some changes to the original gown, as well as, receive a signed sketch of my dress! Not only did I get my wedding dress at Betsy's, but I also found the perfect bridesmaid dress - they also have a great selection of these. Every employee I worked with at Betsy's was very friendly and helpful.

I had a great experience here. We purchased my wedding gown, my mother's gown, and our bridal party dresses here without any trouble. We worked with "Rose" the whole time who is extremely helpful, very experienced, and blunt with her opinions which is exactly what we wanted when making these decisions. I highly recommend Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection!

I must start with the dress was beautiful and turned out perfect! I did not find the staff particularly helpful and at times I found them rude. Picking out my wedding dress was not as fun as I thought it would be.

Loved the store. Betsy helped me pick out my dress which turned out to be exactly what I didn't know I wanted. I also got a sash that I got so many compliments on at the wedding. I felt like my look was very unique and flattering and I am so glad they were able to help me.

I got my wedding dress at Betsy Robinson's, and the overall experience was very good. They worked with me to figure out my price range and style that I was looking for, and I ended up finding my dress after only 4 tries! Unfortunately, I did have to go in several times for alterations, when it should probably have only taken 1 or 2 visits, but in the end I got the beautiful dress that I wanted. I will say that the salespeople are very pushy, and during my inital visit, they pushed jewelry and a veil on me, which felt very overwhelming. I ended up buying the veil they thrust upon me, only to end up buying a second one later on because I didn't like the style of the first one.

I went into Betsy Robinson's after looking at 3 other bridal shops in the area and was completely blown away by the differences. We were quickly shown to a dressing room to put our stuff down and then worked with Rose to determine my budget (under $1000) and discuss what I was looking for. Rose was great in helping me steer clear of dresses I couldn't afford and pull a bunch of dresses I never would have picked but that ended up in the final consideration set. We had Rose's undivided attention and when my Mom and I seemed to need a moment alone, she quietly left us alone. I found my perfect dress at Betsy's and it was completely different than I imagined it would be. I went back to meet with Betsy for my veil decision and she helped me try all different looks to compliment my dress. I couldn't have been happier and would highly recommend.

My dress was beautiful. I got it at a trunk show and got to meet the designer and talk to her about modifications to the dress, which she executed perfectly! However, the service at the salon was a bit odd, when I came in for my fittings i felt rushed. I also ordered a veil, a bit later than I should have maybe (still over a month before), but the sales woman promised it would be in on time. I then called two weeks before my wedding, which was in Maine, and they said it should be in any day. I was already in Maine and my maid of honor was going to pick it up. I then called two days before my maid of honor was coming up to maine and they gave me the same line of "any day" but then I complained and the sales woman and I exchanged 4 or 5 phone calls telling me that they were calling the designer, then UPS to find out where it was. I am very happy that they took care of it, it finally came in the day that my maid of honor was going to the airport, maybe it was just a glitch, but it was one that unnecessarily stressed me out days before my wedding.

I had a hard time deciding on a wedding gown- they are all beautiful! Originally my bustle was done incorrectly, Betsy Robinson's fixed it to make it right at the end of the day and it ended up holding throughout my reception. My dress looked beautiful the day of the wedding, but there were times at Betsy's that made the experience a little stressful.
