James' photos of our wedding day were amazing! It's funny, I can't remember where I ran across his ad online, but I happened to click on it and immediately knew I liked his style and approach to photography. James isn't like most wedding photographers... he works very quickly (but somehow never seems rushed) but at the same time he's extremely attentive to detail. Never overly in anyone's face and doesn't devote too much time to posed shots-- James has a special ability to let the day unfold naturally and capture impromptu, priceless moments. Example: my 2 and a half year old niece was one of my flower girls. My husband and I both have a very strong bond with her; on our wedding day, as she was nearing the end of the aisle and saw my husband standing there, she ran towards him and jumped up to give him a hug. It was adorable and definitely something I was hoping to have photos of to look back on. James was able to photograph it AND ALSO snap shots of me as I was walking down the aisle with my parents. It's like he has eyes everywhere! There's not much more to say... he's super flexible, super friendly, his prices are totally reasonable, and he's just an amazing photographer. Go with James; you won't be sorry.

There are no words to describe how amazing James is as a photographer. Go on to his website and the quality of his photos says it all. James was the first and last photographer that we interviewed. After our meeting we immediately knew he was the one for us. First of all, his prices are totally reasonable. He gave us the CD with ALL 1200 pictures and the rights to print the photos where ever we wanted. He does not force you to print through his website but you certainly have the option to do so. On the day of the event, James showed up 30 minutes early and he had already stopped by our ceremony/reception site to take pictures. My husband and I wanted to take all of our pictures before the ceremony so we could have more time with our guests at cocktail hour. When he arrived at my house to do the pictures he immediately had tons of ideas of picture spots that we could do for the reveal. He calmly dealt with my crazy large family and some how was able to capture beautiful pictures of everyone. I was very persistent in the fact that I wanted to do some sparkler shots after the wedding and james stayed with us after his contracted hours were up to make sure we got the shots just perfect. He obviously goes above and beyond, not only because he is a good person but because he enjoys taking pictures. We went out of the country for our honeymoon and had no access to internet but by time we got back in the country the preview pictures were up! 3 days later we got the cd in the mail. I will forever recommend James to everyone I meet that is getting married.

I LOVED having James as our photographer. We found him on a facebook ad years ago and simply adored his photos. Both the wedding and the journalism shots. AMAZING. I was worried about the distance with him being in MD and us and the wedding being in VA, but it was no problem at all. He was very responsive to our emails and thankfully didn't mind the drive to the wedding. He got there early and ready to go. When getting ready took longer than expected and we had to push back the posed photos until after the ceremony, James was on top of the situation. We got through the posed shots quickly and efficiently so we could attend our cocktail hour. I was extremely grateful when he stayed late to get some more shots. The preview photos were up on facebook within a few days and received the CDs in 2 weeks. The photos are *ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL*, I wish I could bold and underline that. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. If/when we want to do another shoot, I will definitely be calling James. He's fantasic. James, keep up the great work!!

James did an awesome job capturing our wedding day! We had previously booked him for our engagement session and loved those pictures so much that we knew the wedding pictures would turn out great as well! We liked how James wasn't intrusive, or told us to stop and smile during our wedding, yet still got all of the important moments. James is Awesome! Choosing him as our wedding photographer was a great decision. Our pictures were great and his style fit us perfectly. James was always quick to respond to me (I always heard back from him within a few hours). His pricing is extremely accommodating. The day of the wedding he took any shots that we specifically requested, but also had his own ideas that worked out beautifully. He made everyone feel comfortable and worked very quickly during the formal shots which was helpful on a brisk fall day. At the last minute my father arranged for a horse and carriage ride, and James didn't even stutter. He was right on top of everything was able to get awesome shots of us in the carriage. He even stayed later in the day to catch some really beautiful sunset pictures.

We met with several photographers before finding Be Photography, and after the first meeting with James, our decision was made. He took the time to sit down and explain the process to us, while giving us the chance to review some of his work. His answered all of our questions and I never doubted he'd provide just what we were looking for. On our wedding day, James arrived early, after he had already visited and set up at the Church! Throughout the entire day, James was always where he needed to be to capture the moments that made our day special. Several times, after something happened, family members would say "oh we should grab the photographer so he can get a picture of that". Little did they know, James was already there, capturing the moment as it happened! We had our preview pictures just one week after the wedding, and we didn't have to wait long after that to see the rest! I couldn't believe how quickly the pictures were up online and we had our CDs in hand! We've recieved so many compliments on the photos, and I love that as we look at them (over and over again) we relive the day each time because they tell the story perfectly!

James from Be Photography did a fantastic job on capturing all of our special moments from our wedding. The quality of the photos were beyond our expectations. James took photos that were intimate while not being obtrusive. James was extremely quick to get us the photo previews as well as the CD's with all of our pictures. Our family and friends have enjoyed reliving our wedding through the moments James captured. If you ever need a photographer I would say in a heart beat, JAMES IS THE ONE!!! The best ways to describe James are; an early bird (he shows up at least 30min earlier than he says), very energetic, flexible, friendly, creative, reasonably priced, absolutely dedicated 100% in what he does! We had engagement pre-shoot and wedding day coverage by James. He was recommended by one of my husband's friends. On the very first meeting he explained everything in detail. He will give you enough time to think about he is the one (we had no doubt). He was very accessible throughout and you could even just text him and he replies right away!!! Within few days after each photo shoot, James uploaded previews on facebook and it was great that our friends and family could enjoy those awesome pics. We even received our final CD within 2 weeks after the wedding day!!! It rained on engagement photo shoot and rained/snowed on the wedding day. While my husband and I were worried about the weather, James absolutely took advantage of this messy weather and we ended up having some phenomenal shoots. James was very optimistic no matter how bad the day was which helped us to relax and enjoy the day and to have so much fun while shooting. And, the quality /creativity of his photographs are stunning. These photographs are a lifetime memories which we will always keep close to our heart till the very end, which we will share with our future children and grand children. Wedding photos were on the top of our priority list and we couldn’t ask for anything better from James! James, you nailed it and absolutely a true blessing to have you! Keep up the great work!!!

James and Ric with Be Photography were awesome. When we first met with James we were very impressed. We loved the style, the philosophy, and the work that both James and Ric had. Being able to have rights to your picture cd and not having to pay of a whole bunch of extras was awesome. We really liked being able to get exactly what we wanted without all of the fluff. Ric did a great job at the wedding, keeping everyone moving and being also being out of sight from all of the guests during the festivities. We were very pleased with how the picture came out and in such a timely manner. I would definitely use Be Photography again.

James Berglie, owner of Be Photography, did the photography for our wedding at Strong Mansion on Sugarloaf Mountain. Everything went smoothly prior to the wedding, signing the contract, payment, and discussing our plan for the day - James was very flexible and gave me the freedom to plan out the day. On the wedding day, we braved the rain with a couple of umbrellas to take posed pictures outside on the mansion property - and they turned out amazing. During the rest of the wedding and reception, I barely noticed James, but he was working hard and we ended up with almost 1,000 beautiful pictures of our wedding day. Plus we had access to all of our pictures just two weeks later! Be Photography also puts up preview pictures on FaceBook, which my family and friends loved. I am so happy with the service we received from Be Photography and will be recommending James and his company to future brides.

My husband and I were SO pleased with the amazing photography James took for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. James was referred to me by a co-worker, who raved about his pictures, and after talking with him, meeting with him with my fiance, and exchanging several email, we understood why! James is extremely talented and has a way of capturing moments and creating effects that have a big wow factor. So many of our pictures look like something out of a magazine - we're having trouble figuring out which ones to print and frame! James was very flexible (weather disrupted our engagement shoot plans on several occasions). We ended up having a beautiful day and James' sunset pictures in particular were stunning. After seeing our engagement pictures, we were excited to see what James would do with our wedding photography. We had all of our wedding photos in a week and as we looked through them, we were trying to figure out how James captured so many unique angles in such a short amount of time and without us even noticing him. We didn't want a photographer who was going to be bothersome to our guests, so we were very impressed by how James was able to capture so many key moments of our day without being seen. If we had to do it all over again, we would definitely pick James again for our photography. He was honest, helpful, genuine, professional, and very talented. Thanks for everything, James!

He took any shots that we specifically requested, but also had his own ideas that worked out beautifully. He made everyone feel comfortable and worked very quickly during the formal shots (which was helpful on a hot summer day). He had preview pictures ready for us on Facebook 2 days after the wedding and had all 1,600 shots edited one week after the wedding. His photographs were stunning, and I have received compliments from all of my family members and friends about our wedding photos.

James was amazing to work with. He makes you feel comfortable right away and has great ideas for pictures. He even went to the church early on my wedding day, before his paid arrival time at the house, to make sure his lighting and where he would position himself would be right. Besides the posed pictures, he got great candid shots. He was everywhere during the reception, getting the right shots, but you never notice that he's there. I also received my photos very quickly after the wedding, with options of different color variations and black and white for every single picture. From beginning to end, James and Be Photography was very responsive and super easy to work with, and the best value! I would highly recommend him.

I was recently married on 7/2/2011. I utilized Be Photography because of the impressive things that I have heard along with the impressive pictures I have seen. I got my pictures back as soon as I returned from my honeymoon!!!!! Words cannot explain how happy I am with my pictures. My photographer James truly captured all of the events that took place.
