Bay Deejays

Jason was phenomenal! We gave him a general genre and a few song selections and he created our perfect wedding playlist. Even the ceremony music was perfect! He was great at working with our busy schedule and I could not have asked for a more cordial person. Not only is Jason a great DJ, he is a great person as well!

We worked with Chris from Bay Deejays and he was wonderful. Chris made our planning process so easy. Not only did he help us with music selections, but he also offered suggestions for the timing of the entire event. Our wedding would not have run as well as it did if Chris weren't there. He had the entire schedule of events and kept everything running smoothly. It was such a pleasure to work with Chris. We would highly recommend him!

Jason at Bay Deejays is a great guy all around. Quick email response time, very organized, professional, and charming. The online planning tool on their site is really helpful for organizing your music selections! Jason provided PA for our officiant, harpist, as well as music, MC, and mics for the speeches. Everything went very smoothly. We had a gigantic list of must-play songs, and he arranged the order of play to keep everyone engaged and dancing all night! Jason was also great about working with my fiance and I, as we planned our wedding remotely. We were able to work out all of the details via phone and email, the day of the ceremony went smoothly. I took off 1/2 star because while Jason played certain songs I had wanted to dedicate to various guests, he didn't announce them. This led to a few couples running out to the dance floor once they realized that "their song" was almost over. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with Jason and his team. ~Edit 8/22/11 After seeing Jason's reply to my review, I've changed the Quality rating to 5 stars. Thanks for the feedback, my apologies for the misunderstanding!

Jason was very professional, experienced, and flexible. He played great music both fast paced and slow, but did so at the appropriate times. He played the best music according to the feeling of the crowd and was willing to make changes at the very last minute. I would recommend Bay Deejays to any bride!

My husband and I had a lot of issues finding a DJ, and about a month before the wedding, contacted Jason at baydeejays. He got back to us right away, and made an exception to take us, given our circumstances. He was incredibly flexible and had extensive experience and knowledge about wedding receptions and really catered to our taste in music and how we wanted the evening to flow. He even stayed an extra hour to keep the party going! He was incredible and truly made our reception everything we wanted it to be. He played our playlist of songs and added more based on the songs we picked, and it could not have been better.

Bay Deejays was a pleasure to work with and I am pleased to spread the good word about their services. My DJ was Jason and he was excellent from day one. My review - PROS: He always emailed or called back quickly when I had questions; he offered planning suggestions that I would never have thought of, and did a great job transitioning from introductions to our first dance and toasts and so on. He played all of our must play songs and almost all of the "play them if you can" list. Jason also did a great job mixing music beats together. CONS: The only con I can even think of is maybe the price, but we definitely got what we paid for, so maybe that is an unfair comment... Bay Deejays was a little higher priced than the company my sister used for her wedding. I thought that DJ did a good job, but she said that was a little unresponsive to her emails and after meeting with him we didn't see much personality either. We then met Jason at the Chesapeake Beach Bay Club bridal show, saw his very professional setup, and just instantly knew he would be perfect for our wedding. Onerall, I am so glad we booked him!

Chris from Bay Deejays did a great job at our reception! The dance floor was always packed and Chris kept a good flow to the evening. I think he played all of our requested songs (I can't think of one I didn't hear at some point) and he is a former nightclub DJ so he was able to mash our songs together perfectly. Highly Recommend!

Jason is the best DJ I've ever worked with. He was amazing throughout the entire planning process. During the reception, he did a wonderful job and many of our guests commented on how great of a job he did. I would highly recommend his services to anyone. He is top notch!

Jason is so easy to work with and does an amazing job of accommodating your needs and combining his talent of being a great DJ with the music you select. Was great to have make our day special and would highly recommend him for anyone to use, in our opinion he is the best in the business for our area! Everyone loved his music and all the guests danced all night! Also has a great flow to how he runs things and makes the day much easier for everyone! Thanks again Jason!

Jason did a excellent job at our wedding reception at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. He played all the right music to get everyone up out of their chairs and dancing! The timing of the music was perfect and he even checked in on us throughout the wedding to see if we needed anything! Thank you Jason for everything and to those bride -to -be's out there looking for a DJ, here he is! Also, if your unsure of a last dance song try Donna Summers "Last Dance" Jason has a special treat he adds to that song and ends the night on a great note!

Jason did a wonderful job at our wedding. Even with very limited input from me and my husband, Jason was able to discern the "tone" of our wedding and select lovely music for the cocktail hour, seated dinner, and dancing portions of our reception. Most of all, Jason served as a calm, competent MC, reminding me when it might be a good time to cut the cake, do the father/daughter dance, so forth. I am sure that he would not do that if brides preferred, but for me his evening-coordination skills were quite valuable. A few hours before the ceremony, our cellist and violist mentioned that they might not be able to perform due to the weather. Jason prepared to save the day, finding electronic versions of the songs that we had chosen (and already listed in our programs) and preparing to serve as our ceremony "musician." Thankfully, the rain stopped, and the cellist and violinist were able to perform, but I am hugely appreciative of the fact that Jason was ready, willing, and able to step in wherever and however I needed him. I highly recommend Jason Walsh for your event!

Jason was amazing! Very professional and responsive. Jason met with us multiple times and really listened to what we wanted out of a DJ. He also had some good ideas and suggestions when we were unsure of the appropriate music to use. My husband and I were very impressed and would definately recommend Jason to anyone!

Jason provided music for our ceremony and reception and did a great job at both. He was always quick to reply to my emails and he provided us with lots of good ideas during our two meetings with him. I liked that he actually came to us (probably 40-50 miles from his home) and also that he kept a good flow of music and appropriate announcements. His experience as a wedding emcee was apparent from day one until the end of the reception. Everyone had a great time and I would highly recommend (and have) him to friends and family.

Jason was our DJ for our wedding on May 22, 2010 and he did an excellent job! Down to earth, reliable, professional, curtious, friendly. My husband and I cannot say enough about his services and Jason as a person. Jason's calm and gentle nature made this nervous bride relax and enjoy her reception. Jason is VERY professional, organized and all around nice guy. Jason did my first wedding and everyone loved him. He really keeps everyone dancing and attentive to the special events i.e. cake cutting, first dance, etc. Not cheesy. My FI and I have booked him again for our May 2010 and enjoyed working with him. Jason pays attention to every detail to make sure that the reception runs smoothly.

Jason did an absolutely fantastic job for our April wedding. We were pretty overwhelmed by the time we sat down with him and he was patient in explaining how everything would work and had great suggestions of his own. He even put together a timeline for us so we would have an idea of how things would run. Most other vendors expected us to have the answers and since we had no wedding experience we had no idea! Jason was able to give us guidelines and suggestions so we didn't feel that on the day of the wedding we would just have to "wing it!" We gave him a few songs, and from that short list he pulled tons of other music to give us the feel we wanted. He also served a dual role as a kind of "master of ceremonies" and kept things running extremely smoothly. He was incredibly sensitive to any requests we had as well as things we didn't want. He wears a headset and always found us if someone made a request to make sure we would be happy with the change. He was always there when we wanted him to be without being intrusive at all. He dresses professionally and has a fantastic attitude. He made the reception fun not only for out guests but for us too because we knew we didn't have to worry-Jason had it handled!

Jason responded to every need/question I had. He even thought of things I didn't. He checked in with me during the planning process and helped to make our day perfect. Jason was a tremendous master of ceremonies as well. He kept the crowd entertained. Since our wedding, I have had numerous compliments in regard to Jason's services. You should look no further!!!

From one DJ to another, Jason did an absolutely wonderful job at Christina and my wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club this past September 19, 2009. In me also being a member of the Baltimore Area Disc Jockey Association, I knew many well qualified DJs that could have done an excellent job for our wedding, and in the end Christina and I decided to choose Jason. From the beginning when Christina and I first met with Jason to discuss preliminary details, we mentioned a few songs that we were looking for, and then Jason rattled off a bunch more. Right then, I could tell he knew and understood the vibe and and tone that we wanted for our wedding, and knew the music that we were looking for. In primarily catering to the wedding market, Jason is extremely knowledgeable and flexible in all aspects of a wedding; from the ceremony, cocktail hour, introductions, music, and traditional activities, and caters "your" wedding to you. Christina and I would recommend Jason to anyone and definitely someone that would do an amazing job at your wedding!

Jason was so professional and made a huge effort to give us exactly the wedding we wanted. He was great at giving us ideas as well as taking ours and making them work perfectly. He was one of the best decisions we made with our wedding...he came highly recommended from a friend who also used him and sang his praises. He doesn't disappoint!! He was great at getting back to us quickly, and making sure everything was done before the wedding, not to mention he's just the nicest guy in the world. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Jason was great to work with, I almost passed on him because his price was slightly out of my budget but I am glad I didn't. Jason basically served dual roles as DJ and event coordinator which was great because we didn't have a wedding planner on the day of the wedding. He made sure everything ran smoothly and he played all of my must-play songs and mixed in others worked great with my guests. Leading up to the wedding, he was the one vendor I could always get in touch with either instantly or within a few hours of sending an email. He also recommended my videographer, who also worked out great. Would hightly recommend!
